Low back pain, painful and disabling …
Low back pain the cause of back pain can be very disabling and may limit the daily activities of people who suffer. Medications and physical therapy sessionse not always sufficient to obtain effective relief, many patients are turning to natural medicine, including acupuncture, mesotherapy, sometimes the vitamin or oligotherapy (mineral supplements). The herbal medicine is also widely used. In this area, a plant previously used against the muscle or joint pain has shown its effectiveness against low back pain. This is theconsoude great, also referred to as language-of-cow or donkey ears.
It was tested in 120 people aged 18 to 80 years and suffering from back pain or acute injury. Half of them must apply a placebo ointment massage, the other half applied an ointment containing 4g of extract of comfrey root high. The applications were repeated 3 times a day, every 8 hours, and this lastednt 5 consecutive days.
The evolution of pain and disability was then evaluated from the first hour after the first application, then 3 days and 5 days. The vast consoude was significantly more effective than placebo in all areas.
The vast consoude a rapidly effective alternative
Ointment based on comfrey extract high lowerede 95% of the pain during movements, as against 38% with placebo.
From the first hours after application, the decline is 33% with the 'real ointment', against 12% for placebo, indicating a high speed action.
At rest, the pain fell by 97% with the vast comfrey, against 39% for placebo. Again, the action is fast with the first hour from a regression of 43% against 7% with placebo.
The pain threshold is also much more strongly reduced with the great consoude compared to placebo. Finally, the functional is lower.
As for side effects, they were really few and of low (a few cases of eczema, nausea, rhinitis, headache …).
Notice to persons who suffer from back pain, try the extract of comfrey root large delicate massage on painful.
