World Parkinson's Day (8 April)

In France, 150 000 people suffering from Parkinson's disease. On 8 April 2009 is World Day devoted to the disease. In France it will be an opportunity for patients to better express their needs and expectations.

Indeed, patients, caregivers and professionals in itsnte filmed testimonies "coups de gueule", which will be broadcast previewed by the Association France Parkinson, the Maison de la Chimie in Paris in the presence of the Minister of Health, Roselyne Bachelot, to inaugurate the day.

These stories are the theme of the 2009 edition of the World Parkinson's Day, entitled "Witnessing and act to change the lives and aims to educate the public and government to meet patients' needs.

In addition, the World Parkinson's Day 2009 will mark the launch of the first States General of parkinsonian patients. Them, their families, health professionals and caregivers will be heard and their demands and / or proposals received in order to develop a White Paper, which will be handed over to authorities in 2010.
